Tiffany is a dynamic writer, speaker and passionate advocate for marginalized youth and their families. During her successful career as a nonprofit executive, spanning more than 15 years, she has spearheaded many successful marketing and fundraising efforts for several national organizations. She is also the owner of Black Opal Media,    a communications company delivering information via online content, film/DVD production, public speaking and consulting. 

Tia is a journalist, licensed therapist, life coach and TV commentator. She has appeared on CNN, E! and MSNBC and has done everything from interviewing Alicia Keys and commenting on the dalliances of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, to dispensing tips on personal finance. Tia's work has appeared in a host of publications, including the New York Daily News, In Touch Weekly, Entertainment Weekly, Essence, Teen People, Quince Girl, Black Enterprise, SET, AM New York, Startup Nation, Heart & Soul, Jet and Ebony.

Elecia is an author, motivational speaker, former school principal and talented musician. Her career highlights include managing a district- wide performing

arts program and performing vocally both nationally and internationally.

Elecia’s proudest achievement is the development of a mentoring program

for low income youth focused on academic achievement and cultural development.

 

 

 

Charmayne has worked in the field of computer information systems and graphics

for 12 years. She has expanded her expertise into the area of social media and currently manages social media pages for several for profit and not-for-profit organizations in the Washington Metropolitan Area. Charmayne is responsible

for marketing, content management and developing effective social media strategies that expand the BGU brand across all social platforms. 

 

I'm the social media strategist for Black Girls Unscripted. I'm also the nerdy, tech sister of the group. I love all things Sci-fi, gadgets, games, comic and computer related. You can imagine how that went for me as a girl! But I made it and now I sparkle with #BlackGirlMagic! Many doors have opened once I learned to accept myself!"
