Black Girls Unscripted is a volunteer-run program that utilizes storytelling as a tool to connect and empower black women and girls. We create platforms that drive affirming conversations – both online and in gathered spaces – around the rich history, diversity and tremendous contributions of black women and girls. We rely on the support of individuals and the grassroots community to fund our programs. These funds cover training, workshops/materials, snacks, transportation and seed grants for youth storytellers. Black Girls Unscripted is a registered non profit. All donations

Stories have the power to transform, inspire and liberate. If you're looking for an opportunity to intern, build skills for your resume,
or simply give back to your community, please consider volunteering with Black Girls Unscripted! Volunteers are role models tasked with nurturing
and guiding our future girl bosses. You can host a BGU Listening Session, helping to create safe spaces for girls to discuss important issues and create solutions. Or you can help us tell our story, raise awareness, and build a powerful community by promoting BGU through social media and other

Black Girls Unscripted is a growing village of women - young, old and becoming - passionate about our journey to healing, empowerment and intentional joy. We believe one of the ways to get there is through collective storytelling.
