Black Girls Unscripted is a volunteer-run program that utilizes storytelling as a tool to connect and empower black women and girls. We create platforms that drive affirming conversations – both online and in gathered spaces – around the rich history, diversity and tremendous societal contributions of black women and girls. We rely on the support of individuals and the grassroots community to fund our programs.  These funds cover training, space rentals, workshop and downloadable materials, transportation, meals/snacks and seed grants for youth filmmakers.

All donations are tax-deductible. Breathe Nonprofit, a DC-based nonprofit with 

501(c)(3) tax exempt status, serves as Black Girls Unscripted’s fiscal sponsor

and has agreed to accept gifts on its behalf.
